I am Sarah - the one behind Sarah’s Backyard Blooms. I am an urban flower farmer in Colorado Springs, CO. My purpose is to provide locally grown flowers to florists and flower lovers in the Colorado Springs area.
A few years ago I found myself looking into starting a garden to grow cut flowers and make bouquets for people. I wanted to bless others with flowers and put a smile on their face and in their heart!
I had never started anything from seed before. But I was up for the challenge!
I am in my third season of growing cut flowers and have found a new passion. I am thoroughly enjoying this time. I love to sow seeds and watch as the seed develops into a baby plant and grows into a beautiful bloom. Blooms that are shared with others!
I practice all organic, chemical-free growing. I believe these practices are so important for our earth that we have been told to steward well!
Growing and working with flowers brings me such joy. My hope is that you get a chance to experience the beauty and freshness of locally grown flowers from my backyard!
